Open to all (male/female) Livingston County residents, ages 18 and older.
- 100 points for interview with judges
- 25 points for ribbon values
- There will be 150 possible points
* First Place ribbon = 5 points
* Second Place ribbon = 4 points
* Third Place ribbon = 3 points
- The same exhibitor cannot win award two consecutive years.
- Exhibitor must be entered in Open Class in order to participate (see entry requirements below - Open Class entry form due July 1).
- Exhibitor will be notified of times and places of interview with judging panel.
- Entries become the property of the Fowlerville Agricultural Society and will not be returned.
- Entry form, essay, copy of open class entry and a snapshot must be submitted not later than July 20, 2017
- Fowlerville Family Fair Homemaker will be the individual who earns the most points. Points will be totaled as follows
- 100 points for interview with judges
- 25 points for ribbon values

* Third Place ribbon = 3 points
- Open Class Superintendent or her/his designee will supply to judges, prior to judging, confirmation of entries and award placements for applicants along with a picture of applicant's entries.
Entry Requirements
- Exhibitor must enter and show in 5 of the 9 different classes listed: Baked Goods, Floriculture, Photography, Canned Goods, Gardening, Sewing, Crafts, Needlecraft, or Painting.
- Exhibitor must also be entered in: Department 99, Section 241, Class 999 Homemaker of the Year. ( There is a $10.00 entry fee to enter Open Class Exhibits into the fair.)
- Open Class entries due by July 1, 2017!
- Exhibitor must provide a completed application, along with a snapshot and their 2017 Open Class entry form to be considered.
*NOTE: Homemakers of today have either full-time homemaking careers, or may combine this with a career outside of their home. Your written essay should reflect how to cope with some of the problems of our complex and rapidly changing world.

- Do you take time for yourself? How do you use this time?
- What are the two most important values that you want to pass onto the future generations?
- Explain the importance of the Fowlerville Family Fair to the community.
- Volunteer participation: your involvement in social organizations, school, church and your community.
- Please note any leadership roles as well.
